Ms. Walker has over thirteen years of experience in education, counseling and behavioral health. She received a Bachelors degree in Education for the Hearing Impaired, and a Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In addition, she has matriculated at Johns Hopkins University to pursue a Post Masters Certification in Counseling At-Risk Youth.
After completing college, Anise moved to the Washington, DC area and has provided services in a variety of settings including public schools, outpatient mental health centers, non profit organizations, public charter schools, special education schools, and in the juvenile justice system. Ms. Walker has served in leadership roles on a variety of teams and committees serving students, parents and education professionals.
Currently, Ms. Walker works as the Director of Training, Prevention Programs and Parent Engagement for a non-profit agency in Washington, DC. In addition to her full time duties and consulting work, Anise also serves as a member of the District and school-based Parent Committee for a local Public Charter Schools and is a proud and active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. In her most important role, Ms. Walker is the proud parent of a six-year old daughter.
